A month of Inspiration and Connection at Mississauga West Rotary Club

As we wrap up the month of November, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the activities, achievements, and memorable moments shared by our Rotary Club. This month brought us inspiration, insight, and a sense of connection that will carry us forward into the holiday season and the new year.

We kicked off November with an engaging Zoom meeting where Betty Jo shared her remarkable experience as a volunteer at the Paris Olympics. Her story not only highlighted the value of service but also showcased the power of global collaboration and community. Hearing about her journey reminded us of the difference one person can make when they step up to serve.

Later in the month, we held our General Assembly meeting—a pivotal moment to review our accomplishments this year. From our service projects to our community outreach efforts, we celebrated all we’ve achieved together. We also reviewed our financials, ensuring we’re on solid ground as we plan for an even more impactful year ahead. This meeting wasn’t just about looking back; it was about looking forward, laying the foundation for next year’s activities and initiatives.

November ended on a high note with a series of significant events. We were thrilled to induct our newest member, Ryan McKenzie, into our Rotary family. Ryan brings energy and enthusiasm that we know will enrich our club’s mission. Additionally, we had the pleasure of hearing from Jessica, our exchange student from Switzerland. Jessica’s presentation on life in Switzerland was both heartfelt and informative. Her passion for sharing her culture helped us understand her world a little better, and her time with us has already made a meaningful impact.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue the momentum. December will bring more opportunities to connect and celebrate, starting with our next Zoom meeting on December 3 and culminating in our Christmas Social on December 10 at Solstice. These events promise to be a wonderful way to embrace the holiday spirit and strengthen our bonds as Rotarians.

November reminded us of the values we hold dear—service, fellowship, and learning from one another. As we move forward, let’s carry the spirit of this month into all that we do. Together, we’re making a difference, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
